Ingredients

  • Minced Meat 500 g beef
  • Gyros Spice 1 tbsp
  • Olive Oil 1 tbsp
  • Yellow Onion 1 pc chopped
  • Garlic 1 clove crushed/minced
  • Tomato Paste 3 tbsp
  • Broth 400 ml
  • Heavy Cream 200 g
  • Oregano 2 tsp
  • Orzo 300 g
  • Water 1 tbsp
  • Salt 0.5 tsp
  • Pepper 0.5 tsp
  • Feta 150 g cut into cubes/diced
  • Cheese 100 g grated

Steps

  1. mix Minced Meat 500 g beef Gyros Spice 1 tbsp
  2. heat up Olive Oil 1 tbsp in large pan
  3. add Yellow Onion 1 pc chopped Garlic 1 clove crushed/minced
  4. fry medium heat until it gets glassy
  5. add Meat
  6. fry 5 min until it browns
  7. add Tomato Paste 3 tbsp Broth 400 ml Heavy Cream 200 g Oregano 2 tsp
  8. cook 2 min
  9. add Orzo 300 g
  10. cook 15 min until it softens add Water 1 tbsp if needed
  11. add Salt 0.5 tsp Pepper 0.5 tsp more if needed
  12. remove from heat
  13. add Feta 150 g cut into cubes/diced
  14. mix
  15. put in baking form
  16. sprinkle with Cheese 100 g grated
  17. bake 180 °C in oven (convection) preheated 5 min until the cheese melts
