Ingredients

  • Yellow Split Pea 300 g
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Hungarian sausage 150 g sliced
  • Yellow Onion 1 pc chopped
  • Garlic 3 clove crushed/minced
  • Paprika Powder 1 tbsp smoked
  • Water 200 ml
  • Salt 0.5 tsp
  • Bay Leaf 2 pc
  • Water 1 little bit
  • Sour Cream 100 ml

Steps

  1. soak Yellow Split Pea 300 g 30 min
  2. heat up Oil 2 tbsp in medium pot
  3. add Hungarian sausage 150 g sliced
  4. fry until it gets crispy
  5. remove Sausage
  6. add Yellow Onion 1 pc chopped Garlic 3 clove crushed/minced
  7. fry until it gets glassy
  8. add Paprika Powder 1 tbsp smoked
  9. drain Peas
  10. mix Peas Onion
  11. add Water 200 ml Salt 0.5 tsp Bay Leaf 2 pc
  12. cook low heat 1 h covered while stirring
  13. add Water 1 little bit if needed in the meantime
  14. take Peas ca. 130 ml from it
  15. add Sour Cream 100 ml
  16. blend with hand blender
  17. put back
  18. cook low heat 10 min
  19. put on it Sausage when serving
